Publishing your book on Amazon doesn’t have to be confusing. At The DC Mailer, we walk with you through every step of the journey—from Word document to finished product on Kindle and in print.
Here’s how the process works:

Step 1: Free Consultation
We start with a 30-minute discovery call (phone or Zoom).
We'll talk about your book, your goals, and your timeline.
You’ll leave with a clear understanding of what’s included, what we’ll handle, and what you can expect.

Step 2: Submit Your Manuscript
Once you’re ready to move forward, you’ll send us your completed manuscript in Word, Google Docs, or PDF format.
We’ll confirm the file is ready for formatting and walk you through any final edits or cleanup needed before publishing.
🔹 You keep full ownership of your work.
Step 3: Formatting & Cover Design
We professionally format your book for both Kindle and paperback using Amazon’s specifications.
You also get a custom-designed cover (front, spine, and back), complete with your blurb, author name, and title.
🔹 Your book will look clean, polished, and professional.
Step 4: Metadata, Categories & Upload
We handle the technical setup inside your Amazon KDP account:
- Title, subtitle, and author fields
- Keywords and categories (for maximum visibility)
- Paperback settings: trim size, paper type, royalties
- Upload of interior and cover files
🔹 We’ll even walk you through how to track your sales and royalties.
Step 5: Final Review & Launch
Before we publish, you get a chance to review everything.
Once approved, your book goes live on Amazon. You’ll get your link, can order author copies, and start sharing your work with the world.
